Cascading Style Sheet.

I feel that the Cascading Style Sheet has made things simpler. It seperates document content from document presentation, improving content accessibility. It provides more flexibility and control in the specification in the characteristics of presentation. It makes structural content more simple. CSS also provides a wide variety of rendering methods. In conclusion, CSS has improved technology.

Web 1.0 and Web 2.0

I find that Web 1.0 does not benefit people as much as Web 2.0 do.
The webmaster has to work really hard to update the website constantly for the sake of the visitors of the website, to make sure that the visitors are well-informed and engaged.
As for Web 2.0, the webmaster is not the only one who can edit the content of the website, the visitors can, too. Therefore, Web 2.0 is better as the webmaster does not need to work so hard to update the web. And in this way, visitors of the website can also hear from more people, gaining experience and information.

Lesson 3-4.

During this exercise, I learnt more about HTML and how to code a page. I never knew that there were all these complicated numbers and letters behind the webpage(s) which I usually see on the web. I find all these interesting. But it might not be very easy to do. And to make sure that what you type onto your notepad gets onto the browser, you have to save the file(Notepad) in a special format, e.g. xxx.html. It is the html word which is important.
Conclusion: This HTML exercise has taught me more about Infocomm Studies. Hmmm... At least I don't just use the computer/web blindly, I know somethings about WHAT is behind all these webpages.

Lesson 1

Greetings! Dear visitors of my blog. This is the first blog post and
I know that it is a little late. Anyway, let's get started.

Reflections on Lesson 1
I feel that the Internet has had a great impact on the world ever since
it came out. Before this lesson, I did not care about what WWW stood
for, but now I know that WWW stands for World Wide Web (Consortium).
When Internet was first set-up, there was Slow Speed technology.
You had to call the company to connect your computer to the Internet.
How complicated and inconvenient was that!
In my opinion, those people who were unsatisfied with the
technology might have been the ones who improved the technology. That
is is probably why we are able to enjoy High-speed internet connection
today.
Sometimes, I see internet addresses which are in numbers, but now I
know they are called an 'IP' address. And the web addresses which are
most commonly seen(e.g. www.maplesea.com, www.facebook.com), which
are in words, are Domain names.
Many times, I heard of URL, but I never really cared about what it is.
After looking through the slides, I now know that it is a special
address for a Web page and URL stands for Uniform Resource Locator.
I find Websites very useful as they provide information which help us
in various ways.
Moving on to videos and audios, there are many types of videos and
audios. Some are beneficial(e.g. positive education),while some are
harmful(e.g. negative education, teaching you bad habits)

All in all, technology is so much more advanced than before, now
we can chat with each other through the Internet, and this is
something which I know did not exist in our grandparent's times.
This is only one example of how technology or the internet has made
things more convenient. However, technology can also affect our lives
negatively. For example, people might not want to meet up with their
friends anymore because they can chat through the internet.
In conclusion, do not think that the modern technology online has
positive impacts on our lives.
